THE BEST KETOGENIC DIET PLAN FOR HEALTH AND HEALTHY LONGEVITY:
Anyone that has been struggling to improve their health and longevity needs to embrace the best Ketogenic Diet plan now because it really works.
Furthermore, just obtaining longevity is not necessarily desirable if one is in bad health and suffering.
Thus, by practicing the Keto Diet, one can experience Living Strong In Old Age.
There are many factors that affect aging.
Plus, one will also experience amazing Ketogenic Diet weight loss in addition to greatly improved health and well being.
WHY THE KETOGENIC DIET IS NECESSARY
At the top of the list is one’s diet which brings us to discussing the Ketogenic Diet also better referred to here, as the Ketogenic Lifestyle…as one should consider adopting it for life or one will revert to a Yo-Yo syndrome.
For many hundreds of thousands of years our Cavemen and Cavewomen ancestors, whose DNA we inherited, hunted and lived on prey consisting of saturated fat and protein.
It is important to note that our Homo Sapien Ancestors, who existed as hunters for 200,000 years BC, did not even begin cultivating crops until about 11,000 BC.
This time of 11,000 BC was shortly after the Ice Age, which started about 2.6 Million years ago, ended in about 11,700 BC.
Thus, by 11,700 BC, our DNA was completely established well before the start of any crop cultivation.
These Cavemen and Cavewomen were very strong, lean and fast so as to catch their prey.
Just try to picture a fat/obese Caveman on the hunt with a spear trying to catch an antelope or deer.
Additionally, these Cavemen were only usually fortunate to catch just enough food for one meal a day which meant they fasted intermittently for about 20 hours a day…later referred to herein as “Intermittent Fasting”.
These Cavemen and Cavewomen did not get up in the morning and have Breakfast of Champions with sugar and milk and Pop Tarts.
THE KETOGENIC DIET OVERVIEW
By observing The Best Ketogenic Diet Plan For Beginners With Recipes, Foods And Supplements as outlined in detail, one goes into what is referred to as a state of Ketosis.
Generally, ketosis occurs when the body is metabolizing fat at a high rate and, converting fatty acids into ketones, where one is burning ketones for fuel rather than glucose.
If it were not for the fact that diseases such as obesity, heart problems, artery disease, diabetes, and cancer, to mention just a few, were not on the increase now, then there would be no reason to consider the Ketogenic Diet/Lifestyle.
The Ketogenic Diet is merely reverting to our ancestors’ diet of good healthy fats and protein while greatly reducing refined sugars and other carbohydrates!
The desired targeted ideal Ketogenic percentage for fats, protein and carbohydrates is:
- 80% fats,
- 15% protein and
- 5% good carbohydrates.
* Studies have shown that carbohydrate restriction by itself can increase your lifespan by 20%!
It is especially important to note that too much protein causes an unwanted insulin/glucose response. So one should not have more than about 6 ounces of meat per meal while on the Ketogenic diet.
For more detailed information on the Ketogenic Diet itself, please refer to the key Ketogenic Recipes, Foods And Supplements For Beginners post.
Per the world-famous Cleveland Clinic on Keto “When you do this, interesting things happen:
- Your metabolism speeds up.
- Your hunger goes away.
- Your muscle mass increases.
- Your blood pressure and heart disease risk profile improve.”
MONITORING ONE’S STATE OF KETOSIS
One can and should easily monitor one’s state of Ketosis, as discussed in the Ketone Testing To Monitor One’s State Of Ketosis post.
HOW THE KETOGENIC DIET DISAPPEARED
Now, fast forward from the Caveman to 1900 in the US when the diet was still primarily protein and saturated fat.
Heart problems, obesity, and cancer were almost nonexistent!
The cookbooks of the time used saturated fats such as lard, which is almost impossible to find these days.
However, the US government and big industry have decided and decreed that saturated fats are the problem, not sugars and that fats are the real reason for the increase in heart problem, cancer, related diseases and even increased cholesterol.
They have pushed the medical industry and public to abandon their earlier diet and replace it with manufactured unsaturated fats, carbohydrates and even to take their cash cow Statin pill.
They have obfuscated the truth that cholesterol is not the cause of artery disease and that their manufactured fats should be used instead of natural saturated fats for huge financial gain.
CHOLESTEROL AND SATURATED FAT ANXIETY
As Statin usage has increased so has heart and artery disease.
Cholesterol is vital to life, the precursor to all hormones and one of its functions is to go to the aid and repair damaged arteries.
Illogically, these special interests say that since cholesterol is at the site of a damaged artery it is the cause. This is like saying that since firemen are at the site of fires, let’s just do away with firemen since they cause fires.
Nevertheless, these interests have created “Cholesterol Anxiety” in the population and arbitrarily lowered the average cholesterol level to 200 from 250 to increase their income.
They started pushing the dangerous unsaturated fats such as Margarine over the good saturated fats while making an additional fortune off of their Statins.
Per the Journal Of The AMA 1996, 1 in 4 taking Statins gets Cancer.

CARBOHYDRATES AND INSULIN
The big problem regarding carbohydrates is that they cause the hormone Insulin to be increased.
Insulin simplistically drives fat into the tissues and prevents it from being released.
When Insulin is present fat stored in the belly and body cannot be consumed as energy.
It is said that when Insulin is present “the belly steals one’s meal”.
WHY DO CALORIE RESTRICTED DIETS FAIL?
To go on a calorie restricted diet to lose weight one must endure hunger and have much willpower, and eventually, hunger will win out.
Caloric restriction is just another name for starvation.
Often one’s weight loss will be replaced and even increased.
The Ketogenic diet is a very easy healthy lifestyle with no calorie counting. It works by reducing and eliminating the hormone Insulin so the body can eat its stored belly fat!
Once one is in ketosis and subsequently having access to stored body fat, hunger is not present!
Going a long time without eating produces no hunger, just energy, is amazing to experience. Plus, as the body converts to a fat burning machine from the carbohydrate/glucose burning machine that it has probably been on all one’s life, it becomes more and more efficient at burning fat.
It is notable that in the very high-intensity sport of cycling many of the Tour de France riders during a race are supplementing with duck fat vs glucose products. Fat produces much more energy than glucose and over longer periods.
These elite riders have transformed themselves into lean mean fat burning machines.
THE BELLY FAT BANK AS SOURCES OF ENERGY
So let’s say one pound of fat produces 3,500 calories and one has 15 pounds of extra fat. This means that theoretically, one could go at least 15+ days only living on the calories of the 15 pounds of excess fat without being hungry.
Thus, a person in ketosis has tricked their body to use their bank of fat and not to be hungry.
There have been instances where hugely obese subjects under medical supervision have gone long extended lengths of time with no food just living off of their stored fat.
INTERMITTENT FASTING WITHOUT HUNGER
This brings up Intermittent Fasting which should be part of the best Ketogenic Diet plan, and which increases the amount of one’s belly fat that is burned per 24 hour day.
As one’s body converts over time from a glucose burning machine to a lean mean fat burning machine, one will find that it gets easier and easier to go longer times without eating and being hungry.
When one wakes up and is not hungry, one can easily go until lunch without eating, by having just water, black tea, black coffee and/or apple cider vinegar in a glass of water.
However, note that too much caffeine from coffee can trigger Insulin. So if one’s last meal was at 8 PM and one does not eat until 12 PM the next day, one has completed an intermittent fast of 16 hours.
Many can now go to just one meal a day from dinner time to dinner time the next day just like one’s Caveman ancestors used to do.
This is known as OMAD, “one meal a day”. OMAD results in an intermittent fast of at least 22 hours and increased fat burning. OMAD and two meals a day produce fantastic belly fat burning with great additional health results.
However, one should remember the main rules for the Ketogenic Diet are:
1. “Never Go Hungry”,
2. “Do Not Eat If Not Hungry”, and importantly to
3. “Always have a few Ketogenic friendly foods readily available” for if and when one gets hungry.
The third rule is very important because one will not go to an unfriendly Ketogenic food just because one is hungry and does not have a Ketogenic friendly food or snack readily available.
Plus, there is an additional financial advantage to intermittent fasting in that if one has just two meals a day this should save $300 per month, and if one has just one meal a day (OMAD) this should save $600 per month in grocery bills.
Furthermore, Caloric Restriction has been proven to increase Healthy Longevity!
NOTE re Oils and Vinegar:
– Taking pills and/or meds based in oils will interrupt and kill one’s Intermittent Fast. So, do not take such and only take pills that are powdery in form.
– Vinegar in water is very healthy and does not interfere with one’s Intermittent Fast.
EXERCISE WITH KETO
Regarding exercise, this is not necessary for a Ketogenic Life Style, but light exercise such as walking for 20 to 30 minutes 5 times a week before a first meal of the day is very good as one’s body is running on and burning fat only.
And, if a 30 minute walk is too exhausting, one can start out with a 10 minute walk, and then rest and repeat with two other 10 minute walks.
Soon one will discover that one’s endurance has increased such that one can increase one’s walk time, thus burning more and more belly fat while increasing one’s health at the same time. If one does not have a good dog (preferably a Rottweiler) to take one for a daily walk one needs one.
Exercise daily as if your life depends on it, because it does.
Yes, I want a recumbent bike for quick weight loss!, then alternatively, one might Add To Cart and GET an Indoor Recumbent bike, if one is adverse to or has a problem with walking, as the recumbent bike is very easy on one’s joints.
Further, it actually lubricates one’s joints.
Alternatively, indoor exercise machines for healthy longevity exercise and quick weight loss that one should also strongly consider to ADD TO CART are:
TIME REQUIRED TO REACH KETOSIS
In reaching Ketosis, the time required varies from person to person, and there are several items that can test for when Ketosis is obtained.
When striving for Ketosis, although it is preferable to eat organic grass raised foods, one should go with the best food options available vs just not following a Ketogenic lifestyle.
EASE OF ADOPTION
The Ketogenic Lifestyle, due to the fact that one does not have to fight hunger, can be adapted indefinitely while maintaining incredible lifestyle results, health and energy.
It is important to note that progress in Ketosis should NOT be measured on a weight scale but by measuring one’s waist at the navel.
The scale is actually one’s enemy as it can be discouraging due to fluctuations when weighing on a daily basis.
Scales lie regarding progress made, whereas tape measures do not in regards to losing belly fat.
THE BELLY FAT MINIMUM GOAL
One’s ideal healthy waist measurement should not be greater than 1/2 one’s height.
Example: If one is 6’ tall=72”, so a waist target of no greater than 36” should be obtained, or one is at cardiovascular risk.
Whereas, at a 1/2 waist to height measurement, one is very unlikely to be at any risk for heart problems.
INFLAMMATION REDUCTION, CANCER, AND HEART DISEASE BENEFITS
Many health professionals feel that Insulin results in Inflammation.
By eliminating Insulin one greatly eliminates inflammation and its harmful effect on one’s Immune System.
Inflammation is thought by many to be the cause of many if not all diseases. And it is important to eliminate it to obtain longevity now.
Cancer rates have increased from 1 in 20 in 1900 when the Ketogenic diet was rather commonplace, to 1 in 2 by mid-2018.
Per the Journal Of The AMA 1996, 1 in 4 taking Statins will get cancer.
Further, re cancer, it must be noted that normal cells can get their energy from either glucose or fat, but cancer cells have a fatal flaw and can only survive on glucose.
There have been many studies that Ketosis has reversed and stopped cancer on patients given not much time to live.
Dr. Otto Heinrich Warburg received the 1931 Nobel Prize for “The Real Cause of Cancer” known as “The Warburg Effect” noting in short that cancer cells need glucose to survive.
However, it seems the American Cancer Society wants to keep this discovery a big secret.
Cancer is big business.
In a survey of Oncologists, over 50% said they would not use chemo or radiation, both of which are carcinogenic, on themselves or their family.

Inflammation is caused by The American Diet which is full of carbohydrates and Trans Fats.
Inflammation from one’s diet, and NOT Cholesterol, causes heart disease.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS THAT BENEFIT
Many can further benefit from a Ketogenic Lifestyle such as those with Epilepsy, Type 2 Diabetes, Type 1 Diabetes, Pre Diabetes, Fatty Liver disease, Kidney failure, severe Joint Disease, Gout, GERD/reflux/heartburn, Arthritis, heart disease, and of course Obesity, plus many other ailments.
For every pound of fat loss, the body loses one mile of blood vessels that the heart and the circulatory system does not have to service, thus leading to less heart load, lower blood pressure, better health, more energy, etc.
WHY “THEY” DON’T WANT YOU TO DO THE KETOGENIC DIET
